Why Instructional Design?

I was inspired to pursue my Master's in Instructional Design and Technology following the pandemic. As teachers around the globe began searching for ways to pivot to provide instruction online, I joined a group of other Montessori educators throughout the United States to fill the gap. This experience inspired me to gain knowledge in instructional design theory and models to improve my design of online courses and learning media.

My Background

I completed my Master of Education in Instructional Design and Technology at the American College of Education in March 2024. I also hold dual Montessori teaching credentials in Upper Elementary and Lower Elementary from the American Montessori Society. I am a South Carolina gifted and talented endorsed educator and hold a Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State College in Psychology.  

My Future

I am excited to put my knowledge to work designing engaging online learning experiences that engage students and promote academic growth. I hope to share my work with other educators and support them in developing online courses and learning media.
